Heart Begins to Break

Another dawn without a meaning, stuck in repeat our daily race:
no memories, no plans, heading to nowhere.
As if in a dream turned into a nightmare,
lost inside a maze blinded by a reverie.
Feeling out of place every single moment,
as my life is streaming away.

Free from the shadow we feared,
we crossed the borders and fell in a world asleep yet awake.
The perfect sky that we craved can gift no rain,
this all got too out of hands…

Dreams in the gutter, unspent, desire traded to ascent,
the track is blurred, dust covered the way.
Afraid and blind we misshaped the human clay:
we breathe, we don’t live, torn, we’re lost into the fall.

Fragile and weak: beyond the surface heart only beats, it doesn’t feel.
Like numbers with no name, we run without purpose.
Choosing not to live, wasted out to nothing,
haunted by the sin we’ve fallen for the remedy.
Time is wearing thin, we didn’t see the warnings,
sinking like a ship in the sand…

What matters taken away,
we lost all wonder.
We’re broken and blind, so tailored our fate.
The world keeps turning around,
as no one cares the future becomes the past.
